On the Issues

Expanding Workforce Housing
As a Village Trustee in Skaneateles, I’ve seen firsthand how difficult it is to build workforce housing—even in areas that need it most. Starter homes and townhouses don’t just appear; they require planning, incentives, and partnerships. I’ll work to ensure towns and villages have the tools and resources to create housing options for working families. That means identifying land, securing state funding, and creating incentives to build homes people can actually afford.

Investing in Essential Services

From water and electricity to public safety and infrastructure, I’ve managed the services that keep our communities running—and I know how critical they are. As federal support continues to shrink, local governments must step up.

I will push the County to:

  • Improve roads and transit so people can get to work reliably

  • Strengthen access to Medicaid and health services for those in need

  • Expand outreach to veterans

  • Maintain and enhance our parks and green spaces

These aren’t luxuries—they’re essentials. And it’s time our local government treated them that way. I will prioritize the everyday needs of Central New Yorkers, because that’s what real leadership looks like.

Stop the Waste
When the County received millions in federal stimulus funds, it had a choice: invest in safer housing, cut taxes for working and middle-class homeowners, or improve our roads, water systems, and other basic infrastructure. Instead, they are building an aquarium—an unnecessary, unpopular project designed to benefit wealthy, politically connected developers. That’s not leadership—it’s a giveaway. I will fight to stop any further waste of taxpayer money on this project, and to redirect those funds where they belong: back into our communities.

Affordability First
Central New York has long been known for its affordability and high quality of life. But that’s changing. Homeownership is out of reach for too many, everyday costs are rising, and wages aren’t keeping up. Meanwhile, support programs for working families are being cut back.
It’s time for a county government that puts your everyday needs first. I will champion policies that support small businesses, reduce costs for working families, and make it easier for Central New Yorkers to build the life they want.
